individuals and families : how it works  : sample menus

How it works

1 - Establish your personal requirements by telephone or email

We first need to establish your requirements, covering:

  • dietary needs and preferences, likes and dislikes etc

  • the number of adults and children

  • how many meals a week are required and length of cooking session

  • your budget for raw ingredients

  • the mix of fresh and frozen meals for one to two weeks

  • can you do your own shopping or do you require me to shop for you?

2 - Discuss your kitchen facilities

I need to know about the facilities available:

  • gas or electric stove and oven

  • do you own a food processor? a blender?

  • provision of baking dishes, saucepans, mixing bowls and plastic containers for freezing meals.

3 - Confirm date and length of first cooking session in your kitchen

After we determine a suitable cooking time I will email (or post) the ingredients list for you to purchase prior to the cooking session.

For the first session someone needs to show me “around” your kitchen. I am flexible as to whether someone remains at home to observe or “leave me to it” to create your meals.

A minimum 4 hour session will provide you with 5 main meal choices for 5 adults, for 10 meals.

Or for a larger family with children, 5 main course meals for one week will be provided

4 - Fees & charges

  • a minimum fee for an approximate 4 hour cooking session applies

  • an extra travel fee applies if your home or venue is more than 20 kms from North Sydney

  • an extra fee applies if you want me to shop for you.

Please contact me for further information about charges for my personal cooking services.
